Hi, I’m Aly, one of the coaches of the Bound for Canada Coaching group. My group & I would like to assist you in how you plan and what steps to take in coming to Canada.

I’m based in Vancouver, British Columbia. I have lived and worked in Vancouver for the last 18 years. I am retired from the healthcare-related jobs that I did.  I have experience in dealing with work permits and sponsoring a family member. I have other relevant experience to assist applicants. My colleagues and I can share our knowledge with you, so you don’t end up dealing with other people that may take advantage of you. We offer our honesty and experience and provide as much support as we can.

I live and work in Winnipeg, Manitoba for the last 16 years. Presently I work as Clinical Research Assistant at the University of Manitoba. I have experience in dealing with Manitoba’s Nominee program and have gathered information useful to anyone who’d like to try coming to Canada. Our group wishes to share our knowledge with you, so you don’t end up dealing with other people that may take advantage of you. For the last 28 years, initially on a student visa, I studied and worked in Calgary, Alberta; later, as PR and as a citizen, I have worked in Toronto, Ontario.   1. As a Medical Lab Scientist here in the Philippines, I found this post really encouraging. I’ve been seriously considering Canada as both a career move and a place to eventually migrate with my family, and it’s helpful to see coaches openly sharing their experiences. What I’d love to understand better is how easy or difficult the process really is for someone in healthcare; what the basic requirements and qualifications are, and how long it usually takes to get there. 

    Knowing these details would give me a clearer picture of what steps I need to prepare for, both professionally and personally, as we plan for this big transition.

    • Hi Celia,

      It depends on which province you want to apply because they have different employment opportunities. But generally, healthcare jobs are priorities in most, if not all provinces.

      If you have a family or a friend who can sponsor you, you have more and faster chances to be approved.
