Newcomers who bring the skills to Canada that have jobs or careers listed in 16 categories will get priority in their applications as the country’s economy needs to help address acute labor shortages.
Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, announced the new scheme to implement the National Occupational Classification (NOC) for immigration programs managed under the Express Entry system. The NOC system tracks and categorizes all jobs in the Canadian labor market and is updated to reflect changes in the economy and in the nature of work.
The 16 occupations that are now eligible under Express Entry are:
- Payroll administrators
- Dental assistants and dental laboratory assistants
- Nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates
- Pharmacy technical assistants and pharmacy assistants
- Elementary and secondary school teacher assistants
- Sheriffs and bailiffs
- Correctional service officers
- By-law enforcement and other regulatory officers
- Estheticians, electrologists and related occupations
- Residential and commercial installers and servicers
- Pest controllers and fumigators
- Other repairers and servicers
- Transport truck drivers
- Bus drivers, subway operators and other transit operator
- Heavy equipment operators
- Aircraft assemblers and aircraft assembly inspectors.
What is Express Entry?
Express Entry is Canada’s main economic immigration system, managing immigration across a range of federal economic immigration programs.
Would-be Express Entry candidates require at least one year of skilled work experience in order to enter the Express Entry pool of candidates and compete for a coveted invitation to apply (ITA) for permanent residence. Invitations are issued to candidates with high points totals, with points awarded for a range of factors, including work experience, language proficiency, level of education, and age.
Mahalagang malaman ang mga ito ( Learn these important information )
1. Karanasan sa trabaho na di baba sa 1 taon. Sa pagbilang ng karanasan, maari pong isama ang mga training o orientation o OJT.
2. Pagkuka at ipasa ang IELTS. Ito ang ibig sabihin ng “language proficiency” sa ilalim ng Express Entry program. Pag mataas ang marka mo sa IELTS, mataas din ang puntos na madadagdag sa qualification mo para sa Express Entry.
3. Pag bata pa, mas mataas din ang puntos.
4. Pag may kamag-anak sa Canada, may dagdag ng points. Kung mag-asawa kayong mag a – apply at may kamag-anak ang asawa nyo sa Canada, may points ito.
5. Pag pumasok ang inyong application sa online Express Entry program, di agad mapa – process ang papeles n’yo. Dadaan ka muna sa Pool. Dito natitipon ang mga ibang tao na nag apply din. Batay sa mga points nyo, bibigyan ka ng ITA (invitation to apply) for permanent residence. Ang application mo for permanent residence ay hindi basta bastang application dahil nasa Express Entry ka. Posibleng makaalis ka sa loob lamang ng ilang buwan o sa loob ng isang taon. Hindi katulad ng regular na PR application na inaabot ng 3 o 4 na taon.
